In the August 15th edition of People Magazine, LaShawn Merritt (Woodrow Wilson High grad) and his mom, Brenda Merritt were highlighted. Brenda has worked within Portsmouth Public Schools for the past 25 years. She currently is a library clerk at Woodrow Wilson High School (WWHS).
During a photo shoot at WWHS, LaShawn gushed over his mom.
